Board agreed on the criteria for the updated ToRs for EITI reporting

The Board agreed on the criteria for the updated Terms of Reference (ToRs) for EITI reporting and instructed the International Secretariat to develop ToRs.

The 2023 EITI Standard includes more flexibility for multi-stakeholder groups (MSGs) to advance with EITI implementation. The new ToRs for EITI reporting would build on provisions of the 2023 EITI Standard that can enable EITI reporting to become more cost-effective, timely and accessible, while being flexible enough to meet national priorities. The ToRs aim to support further progress on systematic disclosures of data required by the EITI Standard, to become more targeted and meaningful in improving access to information while preserving data quality, and to helping catalyse greater use of data by key audiences.
