Tullow Oil becomes EITI supporter

The EITI is pleased to welcome Tullow Oil as the latest EITI Supporting Company. Tullow is actively involved in EITI implementation processes in several countries in which it operates including Ghana, Mauritania, Gabon and, until recently, Equatorial Guinea. Tullow already serves on the EITI multi-stakeholder group in Ghana and is a member of the EITI national committee in Mauritania.

Rosalind Kainyah, Vice President External Affairs for Tullow said: “Tullow believes that natural resources should generate long-term economic and social benefits for a country's citizens. For this reason we believe very strongly in transparency and take a zero tolerance approach to corruption. As such we are fully aligned with the principles and objectives of EITI.”
