Oulimata Sarr

Chair EITI National Committee, Senegal

Oulimata Sarr is the former Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation of Senegal. Previously, she served as the Regional Director for UN Women for West and Central Africa to promote gender equality and female empowerment.

Before joining the United Nations, Oulimata Sarr spent ten years at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member institution of the World Bank Group and worked as a Senior Auditor with Ernst & Young Senegal.

Ms Sarr holds a Bachelor’s degree from HEC Montréal (High Commercial Studies of Montreal) and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Bedfordshire.

She is the Founder of Our Legacy Foundation, which focuses on capacity-building for women to access markets and providing grants to support female economic empowerment in Africa.
