The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) stands at a crucial point in its short history. Several of its candidate countries are now on the cusp of “validation,” marking their compliance with the EITI’s policies and procedures. Madagascar EITI - Les conditions de mise en oeuvre de la Feuille de route sur la propriété réelle à Madagascar
Following the adoption of its beneficial ownership roadmap, Madagascar EITI commissioned a study on the legal, institutional and practical barriers preventing beneficial ownership disclosures and the creation of a public beneficial ownership registry. The study provided clear recommendations for all relevant stakeholders, as well as a concise assessment of capacity building and funding needs.
The Argentina's candidature application was received by the EITI Secretariat on 17th of January 2019. The Argentina's candidature application form together with supporting documentation were approved by the MSG on 21 December 2018.
