The Board suspended Madagascar for missing the deadline for the 2017 annual progress report.
Decision on Madagascar's suspension
Board agreed that Madagascar is suspended effective 1 February 2019 due to the failure to publish the 2017 Annual Progress Report by 31 December 2018. In accordance with the EITI Standard, the suspension will be lifted if the EITI Board is satisfied that the outstanding Annual Progress Report has been published. The suspension will remain in force until the EITI Board is satisfied that the country has met requirement 8.4. If the suspension is in effect for more than one year, the EITI Board will delist Madagascar.
