The Board approved recommendations on cooldown periods for the constituencies.
Decision on cool down periods for constituencies
The Board approved of the following recommendations to the constituencies:
- The constituencies are advised to continue adhering to the EITI Code of Conduct and EITI Principles. In particular, to ues the EITI Code of Conduct's provision 7 on confidentiality which establishes a two-year cooldown period for use of confidential information.
- The constituencies are advised to consider the need for cooldown periods in their respective guidelines, when nominating Board members that are former EITI International Secretariat staff.
