The Board approved recommendations on cooldown periods for the constituencies.

The Board approved of the following recommendations to the constituencies:

1. The constituencies are advised to continue adhering to the EITI Code of Conduct and EITI Principles. In particular, to ues the EITI Code of Conduct's provision 7 on confidentiality which establishes a two-year cooldown period for use of confidential information.
2. The constituencies are advised to consider the need for cooldown periods in their respective guidelines, when nominating Board members that are former EITI International Secretariat staff.
