Decision on Suriname's suspension
The EITI Board suspended Suriname on 26 February 2019 for failing to publish its 2016 EITI Report by 31 December 2018. In accordance with the EITI Standard, it was agreed that the suspension would be lifted if the EITI Board is satisfied that the outstanding EITI Report was published within six months of the deadline. The Secretariat can confirm that Suriname published its 2016 EITI Report on 24 May 2019. Thus, the condition for lifting its suspension has been met.
